Both of these hormones will continue to be produced throughout the night to keep you asleep.

Circadian rhythms work in response to changes in bright and dark light. That is why so early in the morning, the production of this sleepy hormone will begin to be braked and slowly replaced with the hormones adrenaline and cortisol. Adrenaline and cortisol are stress hormones that help you focus and be alert when you wake up in the morning. The sleepy hormone adenosine and melatonin usually stop being produced around 6-8 in the morning.

On the other hand, there are many things that can change the work of the circadian rhythm. One of the most common is increasing age. According to experts, insomnia is one of the symptoms of normal and common aging. The body's ability to sleep longer will naturally decrease with age.
