Why Do I Always Wake Up Morning, Even After Sleeping Late and Not Installing the Alarm?

There are two types of people in this world. Those who can relax get up late, and those who still wake up early in the morning even though they have deliberately slept late at night knowing this is a day off. Are you the second type of person - whenever and whatever the conditions, the body doesn't want to work together so you always wake up early? Buyar has all plans to be relieved on Sundays, because you are already fresh even though it's still at 5 in the morning. I wonder why?

You always wake up early because the body has its own alarm

Simply put, the reason why you can always get up early even if you don't put an alarm is because the body already has its own alarm called the circadian rhythm.

Circadian rhythms regulate every aspect of our lives from within, especially regulating when you go and wake up following patterns of changing habits, physical, mental, behavioral, even to the conditions of your environment in a 24-hour cycle. The body's biological clock also helps regulate hormone production, body temperature, and various other bodily functions.

Sleep is a way for the body's circadian clock to reset itself automatically. The atmosphere is dim and the cold weather at night will trigger the brain to release sleepy trigger hormones namely melatonin and adenosine to indicate that it's time to sleep. Both of these hormones will continue to be produced throughout the night to keep you asleep.

Circadian rhythms work in response to changes in bright and dark light. That is why so early in the morning, the production of this sleepy hormone will begin to be braked and slowly replaced with the hormones adrenaline and cortisol. Adrenaline and cortisol are stress hormones that help you focus and be alert when you wake up in the morning. The sleepy hormone adenosine and melatonin usually stop being produced around 6-8 in the morning.

On the other hand, there are many things that can change the work of the circadian rhythm. One of the most common is increasing age. According to experts, insomnia is one of the symptoms of normal and common aging. The body's ability to sleep longer will naturally decrease with age. Therefore, even though you have deliberately slept late at night, you can still get up early. Elderly people over 65 years are especially vulnerable to this. In fact, they may have been sleepy at an earlier hour but still woke up at dawn or early in the morning.

Another reason why you always wake up early

Morning wake-up habits are generally caused by circadian rhythm work, which can then be affected by the aging process. As long as this problem is not too severe and does not interfere with your daily activities, you need not worry. However, there are a number of medical conditions that can cause you to "diligently" get up early even though you really don't want to.

1. Insomnia

Insomnia is one of the causes of your wake-up habits realized accidentally. Someone who has insomnia feels very difficult to start sleeping and / or stay asleep all night. One classic sign of insomnia is waking up too early. This is generally caused by a disruption in the production of sleepy trigger hormones, which makes it difficult for you to sleep well and even wake up in the morning. There are many risk factors that cause insomnia.

2. Anxious and depressed

Anxiety and depression disorders are mood disorders that can cause you to always get up early. Like insomnia, this mood disorder can make it difficult for you to sleep, night or morning. To overcome this cause, you may need medication or counseling with the help of a psychologist or psychiatrist.

3. Sleep apnea

Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder that causes cessation of breath during sleep due to a blocked airway. Because of this obstacle, the flow of air to the lungs is choked up, causing a person to wake up suddenly with a rage because he feels the sensation of suffocation. Sleep apnea can reduce the quality of sleep because organs, especially the brain, do not get enough oxygen. As a result, you sleep not soundly and feel tired quickly so you wake up faster the next day.

7 Causes of Pain Behind the Knee That Cannot Be Underestimated

Pain behind the knee is not normal even if you are actively exercising. This condition can actually be a sign of muscle injury, torn tissue, and inflammatory diseases in the area. In order not to be mistaken in handling it, here are various conditions that can cause pain in the back of your knee

What causes pain behind the knee?

1. Cramps in the legs

Cramps in the legs can be a cause of pain behind the knee. People who experience foot nerves, liver disease, infections, and dehydration are more susceptible to this.

The typical pain from cramping can last for a few seconds to ten minutes. Even though the pain has disappeared, you may still feel pain in the leg muscles for a few hours later. Try giving a warm water compress and relaxing your feet to deal with cramps in the legs and prevent them from reappearing.

2. Sprained knee

Accidents, collisions, and falling incidents can shift the position of your bones and connective tissue to cause pain. If the pain behind the knee is caused by sprains, immediately check your condition to the doctor to prevent more severe complications.

3. Injury to knee tendinitis

Also known as patellar tendonitis, knee tendinitis occurs when the connecting muscles of the kneecap and calf bone are injured. This condition, which has the name jumper's knee, usually occurs when you jump or change direction suddenly. Therefore, athletes and people who exercise actively are more prone to experience it.

4. Iliotibial band syndrome

You who are very fond of cycling may need to be more careful, because you are more at risk of experiencing iliotibial band syndrome. This condition is characterized by rubbing the outer ligament tissue of the thigh with the bone at the back of the knee. Over time, the friction causes irritation, swelling and pain behind the knee.

5. Baker Cyst

Baker cysts are formed from a collection of lubricating fluid in the joints that are behind the knee. This lubricating liquid is actually beneficial for protecting the knee joint from friction, but its production can be excessive if you have arthritis or knee injury.

The extra liquid then clots and forms a cyst. This cyst may still disappear by itself. But if the size of the cyst is large enough and is accompanied by pain, you may need to consult a doctor to get the right treatment.

6. Arthritis (arthritis)

In patients with arthritis, cartilage tissue that becomes a bearing between joints is damaged causing pain behind the knee. Based on the cause, arthritis can be distinguished into rheumatism and osteoarthritis.

Rheumatism occurs as a result of errors in the immune system that attack healthy tissue in the knee joint. Meanwhile, osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease in the joints that attacks many elderly and obese people.

7. Hamstring muscle injury

The hamstring muscle is a group of muscles in the back of the thigh. If you are too far away, the hamstring muscle can be injured or torn causing pain, including on the back of the knee. The process of restoring hamstring muscles can usually take up to months.

Pain behind the knee generally results from injury, torn muscles, or diseases of the knee joint. You can relieve the pain with the RICE method which consists of resting, icing (giving cold compresses), compressing (pressing the injured area with bandages), and elevating (lifting the injured leg).

However, if the pain does not go away, you should see a doctor. Doctors can suggest further examinations or determine the therapy needed.

Beard Dandruff Makes It Not Comfortable? Overcome With These 4 Tips

Dandruff is the most common skin problem. Not only on the scalp, dandruff can also appear on the beard. These white and itchy flakes on the beard will definitely make you very disturbed and insecure. So, how to deal with it? Come on, see tips for overcoming dandruff beard in the following review.

Why can beard dandruff?

Almost everyone has Malassezia globosa mushrooms on their skin. This fungus is usually around the skin that has many sebaceous glands (oil glands), such as the scalp and face. The main task of this fungus helps break down sebum (oil) produced by sebaceous glands so that it stimulates the replacement of new skin cells.

Normally, the cycle of skin cell replacement takes around 30 days. Unfortunately, the amount of unbalanced mushrooms can cause skin cell regeneration to become faster, accumulate, and cause dandruff. Well, beard dandruff is not like dandruff on the scalp because flaking skin flakes are usually less.

Tips for overcoming dandruff on a beard

Overcoming dandruff beard means removing dead skin cells around the chin and controlling extra oil. Actions that are generally carried out are regular cleaning, moisturizing and exfoliation. To be clearer, note the explanation of cleaning dandruff in the following beard.

1. Cut your beard

The easiest way to deal with dandruff on a beard is to shave a beard. This helps you make your chin skin easier. If you still want to maintain the beard, just clean it to make it easier to clean.

2. Exfoliate

Exfoliation is a technique to accelerate exfoliation of dead skin cells. Apart from being applied to the face, this technique can also be a treatment for dandruff beard. The trick, prepare a scrub for exfoliation and a special brush for a soft beard. In addition to removing dead skin that builds up, using a beard brush also helps control the oil on the chin.

Use and apply scrub to your beard. Then, smooth with a brush and massage gently. Remember not to rub the brush too hard on your chin so that it doesn't worsen dandruff. Then, clean the beard with running water.

2. Routinely cleaned

If you have a beard, you need to treat it like your hair. Care must be taken regularly with the usual shampoo for shampooing hair. However, to be more effective in overcoming dandruff beard, look for shampoo that contains the following ingredients:

  • Tea tree oil
  • Coal tar
  • Selenium sulfide
  • Pyrithione zinc

Wet your beard with clean water. Then, pour the shampoo up and rub until foamy. Massage a beard shampoo and make sure it reaches your chin skin. Let it stand for one minute and rinse thoroughly. Avoid using too much shampoo so that your chin skin isn't dry.

3. Routine use of moisturizer

White flakes on your beard can be caused by dry skin. So that the chin skin is more moist, then be diligent to moisturize your beard.

But wait, moisturizing the beard is not like moisturizing the skin with a lotion. This skin moisturizer can leave a lot of residue and make dandruff beard worse. So, choose essential oils that are specifically for beards, such as argan oil.

After the beard has been cleaned, dry it with a towel. Then drop one or two essential oils on the hands, rub them, and massage them into the skin of the chin to the end of the beard.

5 Tips For Preventing Itchy Eyes At Night, To Sleep Better

Having eye itch at night can make sleep disturbed and not sound. If left unchecked, this condition can reduce your productivity due to disturbing drowsiness due to lack of sleep. If you often feel itching in the eyes at night, see how to prevent this.

Prevent itchy eyes at night

1. Clean the eye area before going to bed

Dust, chemicals, and makeup that still stick around the eyes can trigger itching. Therefore, take the time to clean your eyes before going to sleep even though you are very sleepy. If you use eye makeup, make sure to clean it completely until there is nothing left.

After cleaning the eye area, you can also compress it with warm or cold water to make it more relaxed.

2. Apply rules 20-20-20

Eyes that are too tired from too long in front of a computer can trigger itching at night. Therefore, you need to prevent this condition by following the 20-20-20 rules to reduce the risk of eye fatigue.

The 20-20-20 rule means that every 20 minutes looking at a computer or device screen, you have to look away from the screen and see another object that is 20 feet (6 meters) for 20 seconds. This method will make the eyes become more relaxed.

3. Avoid allergic triggers

If the cause of itching in the eye is because you have an allergy, avoid the trigger. For example if you are allergic to pollen, make sure to sleep with the window closed to prevent it from getting carried into the room.

In addition, you also need to regularly change sheets to prevent fertile nesting mites on the bed. Not only that, don't be lazy to clean the room if you have a dust allergy. Sweep and mop the room every day to keep it clean so you can sleep comfortably.

4. Use a humidifier

Dry eyes can trigger itching at night. To prevent dry eyes, use a humidifier or air humidifier. In addition to moisturizing the air, a humidifier is also effective in counteracting viruses and dust that can cause allergies. But if you don't have a humidifier, use eye drops to keep your eyes moist throughout the night.

5. Don't use contact lenses all day long

In fact, contact lenses that are used all day can make the eyes itch at night. This can be caused by a dirty lens, dry eyes, or irritation. Therefore, do not use contact lenses all day long.

To be safer, choose disposable contact lenses. Even though it is more expensive and wasteful, this type of contact lens can prevent eye irritation. However, do not use contact lenses if you use them during the day, the eyes feel itchy at night.

When the eyes are itchy, the most important thing to remember is not to rub it. Rubbing the eyes stimulates the body to produce more histamine so that the itching will get worse. In addition, rubbing your eyes can also encourage bacteria to enter and cause infection.

Electric Cigarette vs Tobacco Cigarettes: Which Is Safer?

Electric cigarette, often called a vape or e-cigarette, was originally created in China in 2003 by a pharmacist to reduce cigarette smoke, and is one way to help people stop smoking. Vape consists of a battery, a cartridge containing liquid, and a heating element that can warm and vaporize the liquid into the air.

What are the dangers of e-cigarettes compared to tobacco cigarettes?

  • Tobacco cigarettes emit smoke from tobacco combustion; Electric cigarettes produce steam from fruit flavoring liquids, and heated nicotine.
  • Tobacco smoking can cause heart disease, lung disease, impotence, disorders of pregnancy and the fetus; vape causes interference with the nose and breathing throat.
  • Tobacco cigarettes contain nicotine, tar, arsenic, carbon monoxide, ammonia and various other chemicals; Electric cigarettes contain nicotine, glycerol vegetables, propylene glycol, artificial sweeteners, and various fruit flavors.
  • Besides smoke, tobacco cigarettes leave garbage like cigarette ash and cigarettes; while vape does not leave trash.
  • Tobacco smoke leaves a smell and does not dissolve in liquid; Electric cigarettes leave vapors that dissolve in liquids and smell from fruit flavorings.
  • One pack of tobacco cigarettes is sold at a price of ± USD 1.12; vape is sold at a price of ± USD 10.50 to USD 35.01.
  • Tobacco cigarettes have special regulations in Government Regulation no. 109; there are no specific regulations regarding circulation of vape.

Which is safer?

According to Dr. Nauki Kunugita, a researcher from the National Institute of Public Health in Japan, found in one e-cigarette 10 times the level of carcinogens (a group of substances that can directly damage DNA, promote or help cancer) compared to one ordinary cigarette.

Tjandra Yoga Aditama, Head of the Health Research and Development Agency (Balitbangkes) of the Ministry of Health explained in a press release that the nicotine solution contained in electric cigarettes has a different composition and in general there are 4 types of mixtures. But all types of mixtures contain nicotine, propylene glycol.

CNN also said that the dangers of vape include causing acute nicotine poisoning and the presence of cases of child mortality. Not only are cigarettes dangerous, inhaled vapors can cause asthma attacks, shortness of breath, and coughing. This cigarette is also dangerous for people with pneumonia, heart failure, disorientation, seizures, hypotension, to burns due to the explosion of electric cigarettes in the mouth.

So, until now there are no facts that prove that e-cigarettes are safer than tobacco cigarettes. As reported by cnn.com, various studies have conducted research on e-cigarettes and the results of these studies are:

  1. This electric cigarette is claimed to contain harmful substances such as Tobacco Specific Nitrosamines (TSNA), Diethylene Glycol (DEG) and carbon monoxide.
  2. Long-term use of e-cigarettes can significantly increase plasma nicotine levels after five minutes of use.
  3. Not only that, these cigarettes also increase plasma carbon monoxide levels and the pulse frequency significantly which can interfere with health.
  4. Has an acute effect on the lung as in tobacco cigarettes, ie exhaled air nitric oxide levels significantly decrease and airway resistance increases significantly.
In fact, the danger of vape is also able to encourage the culture of smoking in children, as explained by Jessica, the study leader from the University of Southern California, United States. The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned all countries in the world to ban children, pregnant women and productive age women from smoking electric cigarettes.

Danger and Risk If You Change Hair Color Too Often

Changing hair color can indeed make the look always new and fresh. However, don't ignore the side effects. Because the hair dye contains a lot of chemicals that can endanger health if used too often. Before you dye your hair too often, let's know first the effects and dangers.

List of hair dye contents and their effects

The chemicals in hair dyes not only soak into the hair, but also on your scalp. In fact, hair dye particles can be easily inhaled during the coloring process in the salon. The following are various chemicals that are usually contained in hair dyes along with their side effects for health:

  • Para-phenylenediamine (PPD), triggers an allergic reaction and as a carcinogen (cancer-causing substance).
  • Coal tar, causing an allergic reaction.
  • Formaldehyde, carcinogens and trigger damage to the fetus in the womb.
  • Hydrogen peroxide, makes the eyes sore like a sting.
  • Lead acetate, triggers serious nerve problems and as a carcinogen (cancer-causing substance).
  • DMDM hydantoin, triggers problems in the immune system.
  • Ammonia, is toxic, corrosive, and causes respiratory problems.
  • Resorcinol, disrupts body hormones and has the potential to be a carcinogen.

The danger of coloring your hair too often

Hair coloring too often turns out to increase the risk of cancer. According to a 2001 study published in the International Journal of Cancer, women who dye their hair with permanent coloring once a month for a year are twice as likely to have bladder cancer. This risk even triples if you use permanent dyes for 15 years or more.

Another study published in the American Journal of Epidemology also showed similar evidence. Women who dye their hair eight times a year or more for 25 years have twice the risk of developing non-Hodgkin lymphoma (LNH) cancer. This cancer develops from white blood cells which can be found in lymph nodes, spleen, and other organs in the immune system.

Although some studies have provided evidence, further research is needed to help clarify the effects of too often coloring hair. However, to avoid various risks you should not do it too often. The more often you dye your hair, the more toxic exposure to your body will be.

Try using natural dyes

According to Sonya Lunder, MPH., A senior analyst at the Environmental Working Group, various natural hair dyes such as henna are safer and are recommended if you really want to dye your hair. In addition, there are many hair dyes made from natural and organic ingredients. These natural ingredients generally do not contain poisons such as those found in chemical products.

Also, if you dye your own hair at home, be sure to follow the instructions for use. Use gloves when applying it and do not leave the dye in the hair longer than it should.

Also make sure not to mix different hair dye products because of the high risk of causing problems with the hair and scalp. You are also not recommended to use hair dyes to dye eyebrows or eyelashes because it can cause blindness.
